Cosmetic stores have had to hide testers of jelly-like blush sticks in the Turku region, because young people are eating them in the stores, it is said in Helsingin Sanomat.

The phenomenon started about a year and a half ago when American social media influencers revealed that they were eating the Milk Makeup company’s products. The products are jelly-like.

In the Kicks store in Raisio shopping center Mylly and in the Lyko store, it was noticed that young people used to try the testers’ jelly by barking. Sometimes the jellies were swallowed, sometimes they were spat out.

Now the testers are hidden, and you can only get them by asking the staff.

The Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency Tukes considers eating cosmetics to be misuse of the product.
