It was recently announced that Wolff wanted to sell some of his shares. Kurtz was already affiliated with Mercedes with his company CrowdStrike and now he is too Technology Advisor of the team.
He takes over fifteen percent of the shares of Wolff’s holding company. That amounts to a 5 percent share in the team itself. The value of this is estimated at 260 million euros, which Wolff therefore pockets.
Wolff, together with Kurtz, now owns a third of the shares in the Mercedes Formula 1 team. The other two parts are owned by INEOS and Mercedes-Benz. Nothing will change in the organizational structure of the racing stable.
