PSV lost 3-1 to Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany. The team of coach Roeland Ten Berge had already lost 2-1 in Eindhoven last week.
PSV took the lead in the fifteenth minute. Liz Rijsbergen passed goalkeeper Lina Altenburg with a shot. The lead lasted barely five minutes. Nicole Anyomi shot into the left corner, past goalkeeper Nicky Evrard. Shortly before half time the home team took the lead. Laura Freigang hit from close range after Evrard had saved from a bet by Anyomi.
The same Anyomi made it 3-1 ten minutes before the end. Not PSV, but Frankfurt can therefore compete against the Danish Nordsjaelland in February for a place in the semi-finals.
