“A very good person.” That was said about Alois D. from Oostrozebeke almost his entire life. Until he beat his wife Mariette to death at home with a hammer at the age of 87. Because he was too ill for prison, the very elderly antique dealer was allowed to move to a residential care center in Dentergem, where he stabbed three fellow residents to death at the beginning of this year and was therefore sent back to prison. He now died there at the age of 91.
