“A very good person.” That was said about Alois D. from Oostrozebeke almost his entire life. Until he beat his wife Mariette to death at home with a hammer at the age of 87. Because he was too ill for prison, the very elderly antique dealer was allowed to move to a residential care center in Dentergem, where he stabbed three fellow residents to death at the beginning of this year and was therefore sent back to prison.
