Auditions start for new musical about Bende van Nijvel: “You will not see a singing and dancing Giant on stage”

There will soon be a musical about one of the darkest pages in Belgian crime history: the Gang of Nijvel. Lawyers for victims and surviving relatives are divided. “It’s about serious facts. I don’t see how you can turn this drama into a musical,” says Jef Vermassen. “It will of course not be a feel-good musical,” says theater maker Jonas Jacques. But what will the musical look like?
