Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor Akın Gürlek made a statement regarding the football betting investigation.
Akın Gürlek said in his statement, “We are going after whoever was involved in the bet.” he said.
Gürlek also said, “The investigation carried out by us and the TFF is not affiliated with any other TFF.” he said. Gürlek said, “We want football to be cleaned,” and added, “We have an agreement with UEFA and Interpol.” he said.
Akın Gürlek stated that they may carry out another operation in the coming days and that these could be presidents, commentators and club managers.
