AND the most important day for the Rocca, but this year it has the flavor of a new era. There Monaco National Day 2025 (celebrated as per tradition on 19 November, Saint Ranieri’s day) gives us the image of a Grimaldi family that has never been so solid, glamorous and united around Prince Albert II. If the eyes of the world were looking for confirmation, they found it on the balcony of the Palace: Charlene of Monaco she looked radiantbut it was the twins, Jacques and Gabriellanow close to 11 years old, to catalyze attention with a style coordinated that hides a precise message.
The “patriotic” look of Charlene and Gabriella of Monaco
Nothing is left to chance on the Rocca. For the solemn mass in the Cathedral and the subsequent view from the balcony, Princess Charlene chose a White wide leg pantsuitpaired with a knot-front blouse and a beret-style hat with veil. A tribute to purity, but also to Italian style: the dress is signed Giorgio Armanithe same designer who designed her wedding dress.
But the stroke of genius is in the combination with the daughter. There Princess Gabriella he wore a Scarlet coat with Peter Pan collarmatching buckled shoes and a red headband in her hair. The visual result is powerful: mum Charlene (in white) and Gabriella (in red) have composed living la flag of the Principality of Monaco. A touch of chic patriotism that thrilled the subjects.

Jacques, the “copy” of his father Albert of Monaco
While the women of the house played with the national colors, the crown prince Jacques confirmed its institutional role. For him, one mini military uniform of the Prince’s Carabinieriidentical to that of his father Alberto. The twins have appeared increasingly comfortable in the spotlight. During the greeting to the crowd, they were caught by the photographers in moments of sweet complicity: knowing glances, smiles and a few whispers, under Charlene’s watchful gaze who bent down gently to listen to them. On social media, the comments were unanimous: “Quelle adorable famille”, wrote the Monegasque fans.
Festa Monaco 2025, the homage to Italy: “O sole mio” at the Palazzo
The biggest surprise of this 2025 was entirely Italian. To celebrate the historical ties between the Grimaldis and the Bel Paese, Prince Albert invited the Fanfare of the third Lombardy Carabinieri regiment. In the Cour d’Honneurin front of the royal family lined up, the Italian musicians sang an unexpected repertoire: da Funiculì Funiculà to O my sununtil Tarantella. A choice that also struck the Italian Ambassador in Monaco, Manuela Ruosi: «A surprise for me too that these pieces were chosen from the repertoire», he confided.
A bond with Italy that has its roots in 1297, when Francesco Grimaldi conquered the Rocca starting from Genoa. As he recalled Pierre Casiraghi: «La Rocca was impregnable, it played the surprise card. And he was smart. He used intelligence where strength would not have allowed him to reach. Malizia sent a message with that gesture: even if you are not the strongest, with your mind you can win.”
Beatrice Borromeo and the Casiraghi “baby boom”.
Not just Alberto and Charlene. The balcony of 2025 was a triumph of new generations. Charlotte Casiraghi shone in a citrus-colored bouclé suit, while her sister Alexandra of Hanover she opted for an elegant black with peplum details. Spotlight on Beatrice Borromeo: Pierre Casiraghi’s wife, always impeccable, has chose a flared anthracite gray Dior dress. For her it is a special year: in the summer she became third time mother of little girl Bianca Caroline MartaPrincess Carolina’s eighth granddaughter, who joins her little brothers Stefano Ercole and Francesco Carlo.

20 years of reign and family unity for the Feast in Monaco
Behind the pageantry, there is the substance of a reign that has lasted for two decades. Prince Albert, 67, wanted his sisters by his side Carolina and Stéphaniedemonstrating a compact front. «Not everything is always easy, but yes I am satisfied with these twenty years of reign», declared Alberto. Underlining how fundamental “The support of Charlène and the whole family, with my sisters Carolina and Stéphanie”, is for him.
The day ends with the gala at the Opéra Garnier dedicated to Josephine Bakerbut the image that will remain of this November 19th is that of a family looking to the future, with little Jacques and Gabriella now ready to take their place in history.
