The recovery of Allianz Clou archives the 6th day of the Super League. Heavy victory for the Lombards who close in the standings and rise to 10 points. Yet another defeat for Ortenzi’s team
ALLIANZ MILAN – YUASA BATTERY GROTTAZZOLINA 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-21)
—
Milan overwhelming prevails in the postponement of the last match of the 6th day of the Super League. Three very heavy points scored by top scorer Reggers and the Recine-Otsuka pair, absolute protagonists orchestrated with clarity by Kreling. A very heavy victory, which allows the Lombards to climb the rankings and join the leading group. For Grottazzolina, despite a Magalini in top shape, only a few flashes of play at the beginning of the partials, too little and so comes yet another defeat of the season which leaves the Marches alone in last place, in a crisis of play and results. Balanced start to the match until Reggers serves and becomes the protagonist: his turn is deadly and combined with Recine’s attacks he creates the break of 16-11 which puts a Yuasa Battery against the wall who pulls the plug and is unable, despite the indomitable Magalini, to get back into the set. In the second the Marche reacted with Magalini and Stankovic who took the visitors’ first lead (6-8). Allianz who does not lose his composure and places a lethal counterbreak (7-1) which reverses the score and the match: before once again the award-winning Reggers-Recine company brings the curtain down on the partial. Third set which sees Allianz start very strong, the Yuasa Battery wakes up only in the final with Golzadeh’s serve (19-20) but at least fails to extend the match.
