After the end of the decade-long partnership with the DFB, Adidas is realigning its focus – and apparently finding an alternative.

Adidas has apparently landed a coup. As the “Hamburger Abendblatt” reports, the sporting goods giant from Herzogenaurach will be equipping all national teams of the German Basketball Association (DBB) from January 1st. The change comes at a time when Adidas is already realigning itself.

With the end of the decade-long partnership with the German Football Association (DFB) in January 2027, the company will lose one of its most prominent advertising media. In the future, Adidas will probably support Dennis Schröder’s team instead of Joshua Kimmich and Co. According to the report, the contract between the DBB and Adidas was concluded before the European Championship triumph in the summer.

So far, Peak has equipped the DBB team. However, the collaboration with the Chinese brand ends at the end of the year. Peak is said to have been interested in continuing the partnership that has existed since 2013, but apparently failed due to the accessibility of those responsible. Several attempts to contact the DBB apparently went unanswered – the offer was then withdrawn.

The German national basketball team will play two more games in the previous jerseys – on November 28th against Israel and on December 1st against Cyprus. After that, the new chapter may begin with Adidas as the supplier.
