Romina, how were your beginnings in your profession?
I received my degree as a lawyer for 25 years, specializing in Business Law. I worked advising on contractual, corporate and health issues. But I took a turn when my dad invited me to work in his company. Well, actually the call was somewhat informal, they consulted me about something related to my profession, I realized they needed help, I felt it, I talked about it in therapy and I stayed. And what motivated me to make the decision? With your consultation I understood that an SME grows disorderly. The company grows in turnover but the structure is not prepared, it is difficult to make that catch-up of making the organization aware that change is needed. Helping with this makes me excited.
I always found it a challenge to work with family. I have been a coach for a few years and it helped me a lot Incorporating coaching as a very powerful transformation tool
For all this, I was drawn to the world of consulting in family businesses, finding a vocation and purpose there.
What are the services you provide to the public?
Today I am providing a family business consulting service. When I say family businesses, I do not distinguish the size of the organization but rather the definition is given by a business in which the shares, shares, and participations are mostly held by members of one or several families. The final objective of the consultancy is that the members of a business family can find order, structure and well-being that allows them to grow the business and/or strengthen family ties.
How do you project yourself for the medium term?
I am pro-family and pro-business, in the medium term I plan to have been able to impact companies in order to generate healthy ties and growing businesses. Because out of every 10 family businesses, only 3 manage to make a successful succession to the second generation and only 1 in 10 to the third. And this is not due to business problems but rather family problems. My dream is to influence change that number.
What are your differentials in the sector?
The difference that my clients make to me is that being a lawyer, coach and member of a family business I have technical, emotional and experiential tools that help generate greater understanding and subsequent intervention in the issues.
