Olga and Tuukka Temonen’s love story began as a workplace romance.
It all started Strange bird-series in the early 2000s. Olga Koskikallio and Tuukka Temonen met each other when Olga was acting in the series and Tuukka was working as a photographer. Strange bird-sketch series was shown on Yle in 2004.
In 2019, Tuukka shared his experiences with the filming of the program.
– 15 years ago I fell in love with this mime on the set. Today, when I looked at the end result of the sketch series, I’m not at all surprised that the young cameraman’s heart was taken away by this girl from Koskikallio. Falling in love is wonderful, Tuukka wrote Instagram– account.
Tukka fell in love with Olga cheerfulness, energy, talkativeness, and of course also appearance. Olga, on the other hand has said that he liked it Tuukka as a “completely disarming” man. Olga was sold on Tuukka’s professionalism and ambition.
Olga and Tuukka the beginning of the relationship was slow Olga’s previous relationship. The couple told their love story to Kouvola Sanomat in 2023. Tuukka and Olga swore their love for each other while Olga was still busy. The first kisses were exchanged in Temonen’s car Strange bird– in the middle section of the series.

After Karonka, Olga announced that she wanted to break up with her ex-boyfriend because of Tuukka. Olga’s family thought the idea was stupid, but Olga still thought it was worth it.
Tuukka and Olga’s relationship did not start right away, however, because the Apulanta band kept Tuukka busy. After a long chase, Tuukka understood that Olga should not be let go. After a while of secrecy, Tuukka and Olga announced that they were dating in the spring of 2004.
Three turning points – podcast, Olga also talked about Tuukka’s previous relationships. Olga admitted in the episode that Tuukka’s ex-girlfriend caused a headache between the two. According to Olga, Tuukka and his former lover had broken up at least a year before, but the ex-girlfriend still hung around.
– But Tuukka somehow always had such a spiritual bond with him. He believed that somehow I didn’t really like him, that I was just visiting, Olga said in the podcast.
– Tuukka used him to eat, maybe once a week, he continued.
In the end, Olga and Tuukka grew closer and Olga moved in with Tuukka. They found a farm in Iiti, where they lived together with their family for more than twenty years.

Extended family life
Tuukka and Olga started expecting their first child together in 2007. Tuukka proposed to his future wife on his birthday in the spring of 2008, and the wedding was danced in the presence of 400 guests in September of the same year. According to MTV News Tuukka’s ex-bandmates from the band Apulanta were there, among others, as well as a lot of Finland’s first-rate actors.
At the wedding party, the couple’s first daughter was also named Helga and the couple became Temoset. The family grew with two more children, In Hilma and On Thursday.
The Temosten family has also included a foster child Fleawho came into Temoste’s life as a ten-month-old baby in the late 2000s. Kirppu returned to his biological parents at the age of six, but still spent weekends with Temoste.

Both Tuukka and Olga have had impressive careers in the TV and film industry. Olga is remembered for her role Encrypted Lives – series Noora Autiona, from which she left on maternity leave after Helga was born. Over the years, Olga has also starred in films written and produced by Tuukka, such as The time I got and A jellyfish has no heart.
Olga wanted to be at home with the couple’s children for eight years. At the same time, he focused on producing films and TV shows, as well as running a petting zoo and the Principal’s pizzeria.
The Temoses founded a pizzeria in 2021, when the old school building in Sääskjärvi near their home came up for sale. Olga bought the building for herself and renovated it to fit the restaurant.

Tuukka and Olga also had a joint Optipari company, whose CEO is Tuukka.
Olga and Tuukka have told as one of the cornerstones of a long relationship sexual attraction.
– There are many cornerstones of a long relationship. One of the most important is certainly that we are attracted to each other. If the sexual attraction disappears, you can have a deep friendship, but no longer a relationship, Temonen told Apu magazine in the fall of 2023.
Cancer
In October 2023, Olga Temonen announced that she had brain cancer. Tuukka told Helsingin Sanomat in December 2024 that Olga was given a life expectancy of 1.5 years.
– At no point did I think that I would die. I refused to think about it. I thought that now let’s start fighting against this, Olga commented to Helsingin Sanomat.
Olga told Iltalehte that she accepted the cancer diagnosis calmly. Tuukka noticed a change in his wife.
In January 2024, Tuukka told his friend in the sauna how all joy has disappeared from life.
– I was used to Olga, who radiates energy, is always loud and laughs at everything. Olga has been the type at the table who chatters all the time and when Olga goes to the bathroom, the others sit quietly and wait for Olga to return to the table to continue talking. The change was huge. He looked and felt the same physically, but inside something was lost, Tuukka described to Iltalehte in January 2025.
According to Temoste, the cancer news also affected the relationship.
– We have stopped, been together a lot and settled for less. It has been wonderful, Olga described to Iltalehte.
– There is no need for the artificial drama of everyday life. Looking at mistakes is long overdue, Tuukka continued.
– For 20 years, we have done everything together, shared life and decided things together. If Olga’s life ended already, half of me would die too. You’re probably never ready to lose a partner, but at the age of 80-90 it’s inevitable. Now we are in the middle of life and it would be too early, Tuukka said.

Olga started cancer treatments in Finland and Germany. In December 2024, Olga announced that the cancer is no longer showing itself and she feels energetic and cheerful again.
In July 2025, the Temoses announced that Olga’s cancer had recurred. Olga was started on ONC201 medication, which was the result of a French-American study. A nine-week batch of medicine cost 4,000 euros.
– It’s big money, really big money. But it is moderate in that it significantly improves the quality of life, Tuukka told Iltalehte in the summer of 2025.
