An intense and delicate interview in which the former TV presenter he shared with Silvia Toffanin deeply personal details of his journey, also revealing aspects that until now he had kept discreetly. «I thought about the will, about my funeral, I already chose the music» he confided with surprising clarity. Alongside her most intimate thoughts, Enrica also took stock of the state of the disease, a tumor that for now cannot be operated on. «There’s this bad thing in a bad spot» he said with a sincerity that moved the studio. «At the moment, with chemo, the tumor has not regressed, but it has not even moved and has not produced metastases».

Enrica Bonaccorti he recounted the entire journey faced in recent months: the initial disbelief, the silence, the fear. The news of the illness hit her like a sudden wave. For four long months Enrica locked herself in the house, turning off her phone, relationships and everyday life. «I didn’t want to see anyone» confesses the presenter to Very true. «I lowered the shutters and let myself go». A kind of emotional lethargy, a way to protect yourself from a reality that is difficult even to name. It was a suspended time, in which even the brilliant voice that the public has loved for years seemed to have faded.

And then the ascent. «At first I didn’t understand what I was experiencing” tells. «I felt weak, but I didn’t imagine such a difficult diagnosis». It was the others who slowly brought her back to the light: the public who wrote to her, her closest friends and above all her daughter Verdiana. «I woke up thanks to people» he says with emotion. And exactly Verdiana she was his rock: present, attentive, silently strong. A video message from her daughter also appears in the interview, which moves her deeply. Always next to her is the memory of her partner Giacomo Paladinowho passed away four years ago. «With him around I would have been more peaceful» he admits.
