Widow of man who was “the first” to die in Chernobyl nuclear disaster dies after Russian attack on Kiev: “New tragedy by Kremlin”

In 1986, Valery Khodemchuk, the husband of Ukrainian Nataliia, died in the terrible Chernobyl nuclear disaster. Although his body was never found, Valery is believed to be the tragedy’s first fatality. Now, 39 years later, fate has struck his wife. 73-year-old Nataliia was killed last week in a Russian attack on Kiev.
