Franco Lucá becomes managing director of Faber-Castell Cosmetics Credits: Franco Luca

Franco Lucà, who headed Defshop GmbH for more than six years, is taking on a new role in the cosmetics industry.

Lucà has been appointed managing director of Faber-Castell Cosmetics, he announced at the weekend on the career network Linkedin. According to his own information, he has held this role at the Nuremberg cosmetics manufacturer since October.

He worked at Defshop until August after running the digital Berlin streetwear retailer for more than six years, according to his Linkedin profile. The company filed for bankruptcy in October.

During his time at Defshop, Lucà was also chairman of the Baden-Württemberg cosmetics specialist Madison Cosmetics GmbH. A role he also left in August. He came to Defshop in June 2019 from the Italian cosmetics group Intercos Group, where he was CEO of China and South East Asia.
