The Council of State advises against the ban on religious expressions for special investigating officers (BOAs) that outgoing Justice Minister Foort van Oosten (VVD) wants to introduce. According to the important cabinet advisor, there is no legal basis for such a decision. To introduce such a ban, the law must first be changed.
