Dusan Vlahovic has “lost” the World Cup, but Juventus risks having to start again without their number 9 after the international break. The Juventus alarm for Florence, the first stage of the recovery, was triggered in the last few hours directly by Serbia’s withdrawal. Vlahovic suffered muscle discomfort after Thursday evening’s match against England, so much so that in the last few hours the national team staff subjected him to clinical tests. The tests ruled out injuries, but revealed fatigue in the adductors. Vlahovic will have to rest for at least 2-3 days: tomorrow he should go on the bench against Latvia just to join the group, he will probably remain in the national team, but an early return to Turin is not excluded. Upon returning to Continassa, also based on Dusan’s sensations, Juventus will decide whether or not to repeat the medical tests. Bad news for Luciano Spalletti, who in the three games in charge of the Lady (Cremonese, Sporting, Torino) has always focused on Vlahovic starting at the center of the attack. Not to mention that the Serbian, whose contract expires in June, still remains the best Juventus goalscorer of the season with 6 goals between Serie A (3) and the Champions League (3).

Partly because it is not necessarily enough that five-six days will be enough to get rid of the fatigue and partly because when the restart will start a real tour de force for Luciano Spalletti’s team and prudence will be maximum to avoid having to give up the center forward for a longer period. Even more so with the trip to Bodo just around the corner (25 November): the match in Norway will be decisive for the path to the Champions League and facing it with Vlahovic would not be a detail.
