Football is a sport, but it is also a passion. But there are those who also transform this passion to do good for others, even with simple playing shirts. This is the commitment of Humana People to People, the international humanitarian organization also based in Italy. Thanks to the collection and selection of used clothes, Humana People to People Italia carries out long-term cooperation projects in Africa, Asia and Latin America. On November 22nd he chose to open in Milan, inside the Humana People store in Via De Amicis 45, the first shop in shop dedicated entirely to vintage and second-hand football clothing.

Luca Gilardi, retail director of Humana People to People Italia, comments on the birth of the project: “As a football enthusiast I started with Football Corner, where in the 90s we could sell official AC Milan and Inter products under license at the San Siro, we also had points of sale in the city center of Milan and in various Italian airports. In Humana, when selecting used goods we also found football shirts. I knew their value but in the shops they were not valorised enough, there was a lack of know-how. For collectors they may be worth even a few hundred euros. The impact was different, so I understood that it was better to centralize the product in a single store and have it more professionalized.”

This is a real inauguration, as Gilardi always explains: “The opening will take place on November 22nd. It will take place inside one of the two shops we have in Via De Amicis. We will close half of the shop with a soccer door and in that area we will sell both second-hand vintage football shirts and products from recent years, obviously all deriving from the collection of second-hand goods. The profits, like all the rest of Humana’s activity, will go to support international cooperation projects, which concern mainly education and health.”

“For the derby we have prepared mannequins specifically. There will be some surprises for those who come already wearing a football shirt”, anticipates Gilardi. In the Humana Football Corner collection, there will be lots of material to choose from: from Italian football shirts from the 80s and 90s to English football, to the historical shirts of national teams from all over the world. It will also be possible to purchase jackets, tracksuits, sweatshirts and all club and national team clothing. But there will also be “relics”, such as the shirts of the great players of the past: Oriali, Maldini, but also Ronaldo the phenomenon and Beckham.
