MT Melsungen struggled against Hannover-Burgdorf for a long time and missed the home win. However, there was good news before kick-off.
MT Melsungen narrowly missed out on a home win in the handball Bundesliga. Against Hannover-Burgdorf it was 29:29 (16:17) on Friday evening.
Sipos extended until 2028
Before the throw-off there was good news from the MT: the early contract extension of defense chief Adrian Sipos was announced on the video cube. Hungary’s new working paper is valid until 2028.
In the first half, Melsungen quickly gained a small lead, but the guests didn’t let up and got better and better into the game. The 16:17 at the break was Hannover’s first lead of the game.
MT takes the lead in the meantime back
At the beginning of the second round, the North Hessians turned the result around in a strange way: with a triple majority they achieved a 19:19 draw, and with a double majority they finally took the lead 20:19. But this time too the guests stuck with it.
Shortly before the end, Olle Forsell Schefvert supposedly put the MT on the road to victory with two goals. 17 seconds before the end, Hannover was able to equalize with a seven-meter penalty and snatch a point away from Melsung.
