Finnkino has renewed its ticket sales. The reform has not pleased everyone.
Finnkino’s ticket sales have caused outrage. OUTI LAKE
Cinema chain Finnkino’s revamped website has raised voices on social media.
The website has been in the so-called beta phase so far. This means the test version, which may have errors and which may lack some of the features of the finished version. The company is aware of the problems.
– I fully understand that the transition to a new system can seem awkward at first – and some of the feedback has been appropriate. The new platform was introduced in stages and unfortunately there have been technical problems with the new pages published at the beginning of November, Finnkino’s commercial director for Northern Europe Hannele Wolf-Mannila replies to Iltalehte in his e-mail message.
For example, in the messaging service Threads, the topic arouses the crowd. Many commenters have found it difficult to buy a ticket.
– Try the new Finnkino website and reward yourself first with pain and maybe also with a movie night if you make it to the end. I also laughed a couple of times at how difficult things can be made, commented one conversationalist.
– Now things haven’t improved, it’s an incomprehensible adjustment…. Probably, with this reform, tickets will be bought at the counter, which means that the queues will grow, one estimates.
– Quite a wolf, says another.
Cristal Snow, a.k.a. Tapio Huuska, an entertainment multi-talent, also opened his verbal casket on the subject On his Tiktok account.
Huuska had thought that he would spontaneously go to the movies and buy a ticket through Finnkino’s app. However, it was announced in the application that the ticket purchase has moved to the website.
If the publication is not visible, you can view it from this link.
In his video, Huuska wonders why he has to go to a website to buy movie tickets. He appeals to the fact that films should be entered with a low threshold.
– Are you serious? Huuska asks.
On the website, the entertainer immediately lost his nerve. Huuska describes ticket buying as confusing.
– Finnkino, you can go to the trash, really, Huuska shakes.
Finnkino: A new application is coming
Finnkino’s Hannele Wolf-Mannila assures that the company strives to make buying a film as easy as possible for the customer – also during the transition phase.
– We are renewing the online store and ticket sales on a completely new, modern and scalable platform. The old system no longer enabled the new development steps that customers will need in the future, for example smarter booking paths, more flexible payment methods and new service models, he says.
The company is also currently building a new mobile application.
According to Wolf-Mannila, Finnkino has received feedback on social media and customer service about the reform of online shopping and ticket sales.
– We appreciate all the feedback – it has been a great help when we have made technical improvements and clarified the instructions, he writes in his answer.
