After the stages in Milan and Rome, the event that combines tennis, prevention and health will be in the Finals Fan Village with free specialist visits
Twenty thousand screenings in Milan in Piazza Castello in September, 42 thousand at the Foro Italico in Rome in October and now the Nitto ATP Finals: Tennis & Friends – Salute e Sport, Official Charity Partner of the Finals, returns to Turin with its mix of prevention, solidarity and sporting passion. “Being an Official Charity represents for us an extraordinary honor and a unique opportunity to bring our health prevention model on an international stage”, declares Giorgio Meneschincheri, President of Tennis and friends – Salute e sport. “Ours is an innovative format on the global scene that combines sport and health in an original way, and is already arousing great interest from abroad. The link between tennis and prevention is not accidental: scientific research shows that tennis can increase life expectancy by up to 9.7 years and playing tennis three hours a week can reduce the risk of heart disease by over 50%. These data confirm that the sport-prevention combination is a winning one for everyone’s well-being.”

The Finals Fan Village is hosting the Health Area: specialists from the main Piedmontese healthcare facilities offer free medical visits without reservations to promote the culture of prevention and correct lifestyles: 12 specialist visits are available. “Every time Tennis & Friends meets our world, something special is born – says Angelo Binaghi, President of the Federation -. Sport and health speak the same language: that of taking care of oneself and others. This is the deepest meaning of our commitment – transforming the passion for tennis into a message of prevention, solidarity and life”. In 15 years of activity, over 1 million citizens have participated in the event, for more than 300 thousand free check-ups.
