At FC Bayern, Serge Gnabry is one of the positive surprises of the season. But is it perhaps his last year in Munich?
Serge Gnabry is apparently on the list at top European clubs. According to “La Gazzetta dello Sport”, Juventus Turin is showing interest in the national player, and “Bild” also reports that the Italian record champions have inquired about Gnabry. Liverpool FC are also said to be keeping an eye on Gnabry.
Background: The 30-year-old’s contract with FC Bayern expires in the summer. The club management would like to extend it, but the talks could fail due to salary. Gnabry reportedly earns between 17 and 19 million euros per year – a sum that the record champions no longer want to pay in the future.
Gnabry would probably have to accept losses for an extension. In terms of sport, he is seeded in the current first half of the season, also because of Jamal Musiala’s injury. His performance is good – but the future is open.
What could play into Juventus and Liverpool’s hands: Gnabry would be a free transfer in the summer. The money saved in a possible transfer could help with salary demands.
