A transfer that few saw coming was that of Tijjani Reijnders. AZ picked him up at PEC Zwolle and let him mature. The 2022/23 season became the season of truth for the versatile midfielder. With AZ he reached the semi-finals of the Conference League, where he also scored against West Ham United.
