SVG Lüneburg made a big statement at the top game in the Volleyball Bundesliga.

The table leader clearly beat the stumbling record champions Berlin Recycling Volleys away in the Max-Schmeling-Halle 3-0 (25:20, 25:20, 25:22) and is the measure of all things with seven wins from seven games.

The series champions from Berlin are still in eighth place after the worst start to the season in almost 30 years. For the capital city team, who are otherwise so used to success under coach Joel Banks, it is their third defeat in their fifth game in the league.
