In the Casa Rosada, the changes of November 2025 left a clear winner: Karina Milei. With Manuel Adorni as the new Chief of Staff and Diego Santilli at the head of the Ministry of the Interior, the President’s sister consolidated her power and displaced Santiago Caputo, who seemed destined to become superminister.
Adorni, former presidential spokesperson and Karina’s trusted man, went on to coordinate the entire Cabinet. Santilli, with a history in the PRO and a good relationship with the governors, also responds to his orbit. According to ruling party sources, it was she who promoted both appointments after the October electoral victory, with the aim of reinforcing political control and advancing the economic agenda.
Caputo, on the other hand, was left out of the game. The consultant who had been key in the campaign and managed the Government’s communication did not obtain any position. His plans to concentrate power in a “super ministry” vanished. Today, their role is limited to advising informally, far from central decisions.
The intern was resolved with a clear result: Karina rules. He controls access to the President, defines priorities and places his allies in key positions. Adorni and Santilli execute their direct line. Caputo, who was part of the so-called “iron triangle” with the Milei brothers, lost influence and was relegated.
The change is already noticeable. Adorni announced cuts in official advertising and Santilli negotiates a new fiscal pact with the provinces, issues that Caputo had stopped. With her political network in Congress, Karina accelerates reforms and seeks to organize official communication.
His next step aims to dismantle the digital system created by Caputo. At Balcarce 50 they confirm that they are reviewing contracts, closing funds and restructuring network teams. Karina wants to have total control of the communication machinery. For the first time, power in the Government is more familial than libertarian.
