Pep Guardiola has been on the Manchester City sidelines for almost ten years. His contract still runs for two years, but the coach is probably leaning towards an earlier end.

So far, Pep Guardiola has played 550 games as Manchester City coach. The Spaniard has been on the sidelines of the Premier League club since 2016 – and is currently successful. In the table of the first English league, the “Cityzens” are in second place and are chasing league leaders Arsenal FC. Nevertheless, the coach is said to be thinking about quitting his job earlier.

This is reported by the English “Times”. According to some sources, Guardiola is thinking about ending his contract, which runs until 2027, after the current season. However, the former FC Bayern coach is said not to have made a final decision yet.

Things didn’t go well for Manchester City last season. During the crisis, Guardiola spoke openly about pressure and stress. For example, last December he said: “Do I sometimes lose my head? Yes. I don’t sleep well and I don’t eat well. I always have to eat light food. In the evening I only have soup.”

He also said at the time: “When I feel bad, I feel bad. But I know that it will pass. It’s the same when I’m overjoyed.” Guardiola can be happy at the moment. His team won 3-0 against Liverpool FC on Sunday. The team previously won 3-1 against Bournemouth. City have suffered three defeats so far this season.
