Atalanta BC has presented its successor after parting ways with coach Ivan Juric. The 2024 Europa League winner will in future be led by Raffaele Palladino, who was under contract with AC Fiorentina last season and is considered one of the most promising coaches in Italy. He signed a contract until June 30, 2027.
On Monday, Atalanta parted ways with Juric after 15 games, who had only averaged 1.33 points since being hired in June. In Serie A, La Dea is only in 13th place, in the Champions League they have a solid seven points after four games.
Palladino had already been a candidate to succeed the then outgoing club legend Gian Piero Gasperini in the summer and is now arriving four months late. The separation from Viola, which had brought back Stefano Pioli, who had also since been released, was amicable. In his only season, Palladino finished sixth and reached the semifinals of the Conference League. The 41-year-old previously looked after AC Monza from 2022 to 2024.
