Traveling to games in the 2026 World Cup by car will be an expensive pleasure for fans.

The world association FIFA has set up a website for purchasing parking spaces for the games in five venues in the USA – at prices that sometimes even exceed the price of the entrance tickets.

$175 for parking in Miami

In Kansas City, for example, travelers pay the least for a parking space at a game in the group phase at 75 dollars (around 65 euros). In Arlington, Texas and Miami, prices for the semi-finals and the game for third place (Miami) rise to 175 dollars (151 euros). Both stadiums are not easily accessible by public transport. There is no price information yet for the final in East Rutherford/New Jersey, nor for the games in Canada and Mexico.

Parking tickets can be more expensive than Entrance tickets be

The possible total costs for fans – especially for more interesting games – continue to increase. Tickets for the US hosts’ game in Los Angeles, for example, cost between the equivalent of 484 and 2,363 euros. However, for some group games, tickets are available starting at 60 dollars (around 52 euros) – and therefore for less money than the cheapest park tickets to date.

According to a report by “The Athletic”, buyers will only find out exactly how far the booked parking spaces are from the respective stadium at a later date. Although the US stadiums, which all belong to franchises from the NFL football league, are surrounded by parking spaces to varying degrees, some of these are to be closed or used for other purposes.
