Around 45 years after the release of their last joint album “Unbehagen” (1980), the Nina Hagen Band’s two albums can also be heard streaming on all common platforms in April this year.
Previously, the long-legendary records were only available to buy as (limited) vinyl re-issues. Reinhold Heil, one of the former band members, raved about the treasure, which is now accessible to more people:
“From the distance of 46 years, any differences from back then seem ridiculous, unnecessary and petty. What remains is a collection of pieces of music that is still unparalleled today. We can all consider ourselves lucky to have crossed paths with each other.”

Now Spotify and Co. are offering two more delicacies. The single “My Way” can be heard in the stream for the first time on November 21st. The date is no coincidence, as the song was released exactly on November 21, 1980, 45 years ago.
For Nina Hagen’s 70th birthday and “Unbehagen’s” 45th birthday, the good piece was also available to buy from the Record Store as a 7-inch single limited to 500 copies.
Also a stroke of luck: “Spliff Remix” will also have a streaming premiere on November 28th. The record was released in 1990 and contained numerous spliff songs from their last three albums, remixed by various producers. Reinhold Heil was also involved. “Carbonara” can already be heard in the remix.
