The trial for the Cuadernos Case, which began on November 6, 2025 in the Federal Oral Court No. 7, is the largest corruption trial in Argentina. Based on notes from driver Oscar Centeno, it accuses 87 defendants – 22 former Kirchner officials (2003-2015) – of illicit association and bribery for bribery in public works, estimated at US$ 160 million. Six former officials are repentant, strengthening evidence against non-collaborators. Here, the seven most complicated due to their hierarchical role, evidence and attributed bribery.

Julio De Vido: Former Minister of Federal Planning (2003-2015), key organizer of the illicit association. He is charged with 187 passive bribes and admission of gifts. Mentioned in notebooks as coordinator of pressure on businessmen for bribes in construction projects. His executive role exposes him to high penalties; He denies everything, alleging persecution.

Roberto Baratta: Former Undersecretary of Planning Coordination, direct organizer. Accused of 105 passive bribes and 9 admissions of gifts. Head of Centeno, central in collecting bags with millions. Testimonies from repentant people reveal it in transfers to key addresses.

Ricardo Jaime: Former Secretary of Transportation (2003-2009), organizer in the transportation sector. Charged with multiple passive bribes in contracts. His history in other causes (such as railway tragedies) aggravates his position; Evidence links him to systematic bribery.

Jose Lopez: Former Secretary of Public Works (2011-2015), member of the association. Repentant: He confessed details of the scheme, implicating superiors. Accused of bribery; His testimony reduces his sentence (minimum 5 years) but strengthens the case against others.

Claudio Uberti: Former head of OCCOVI (road concessions), member involved in bribery. Regretful: he validated transfers of funds and pressures. Central in evidence of notebooks for their role in road traffic.

Juan Pablo Schiavi: Former Secretary of Transportation (2009-2012), linked to Jaime. Accused of bribery in contracts; testimonies contradict this despite denying an active role.

Juan Manuel Abal Medina: Former Chief of Staff (2011-2013), senior member. Charged with bribery; His proximity to the Executive and mentions in meetings with businessmen complicate it. Attempted repair, rejected.

The trial, virtual and with weekly hearings, will last at least two years. Controversies over suspensions (such as in Carnival) generate indignation in the Court.
