Mignani’s team redeems itself after the defeat in Bari. Now Pescara-Monza is on the field
Cesena forgets the defeat against Bari and at Manuzzi it spreads against Avellino. Mignani’s team beat Biancolino’s men 3-0: a beautiful curling shot from Ciervo broke the deadlock in the first half, then Cristian Shpendi doubled the lead from a penalty (scored in the same round as his twin Stiven for Empoli). A quick restart by Blesa in the second half sealed the result. The Bianconeri rise to 23 points and take third place in the standings: it is the fourth success in the last five matches. At 5.15pm the match between Pescara and Monza closes in the twelfth round. With a victory, Bianco’s team can overtake Modena and reach the top of Serie B.
