A 24-year-old woman from Oss was injured in a shooting in Rotterdam on Saturday night. The woman was taken to hospital in critical condition. A 28-year-old man from Nijmegen has been arrested.
The shooting happened in or near a car. The woman was resuscitated by emergency services after the shooting. The 28-year-old suspect from Nijmegen was standing with the victim and was arrested.
Police are looking for another suspect. He ran away after the shooting.
Shots fired
The shooting took place around a quarter to two on Kralingseplein. Earlier, the police spoke about two arrested people. The second detainee turned out to have nothing to do with the shooting.
Images show that the emergency services had closed off part of the road at the junction. Several ambulances, a fire truck and police cars were deployed. A helicopter was also used to search.
A car was taken off the road with a recovery vehicle.
