Netflix teases a new drama series based on the life of former US President John F. Kennedy.
Kennedyis a series called of The Times inspired by Fredrik Logevall’s book JFK: Coming of Age in the American Century, 1917–1956. According to the magazine, the series offers “intimate truths” about former US President Kennedy, his brothers and former US first lady Jacqueline Kennedy. The series examines the political career of the former presidential couple and the ups and downs of their personal lives.
The plot of the series starts already in the 1930s, when none of the family lived in the White House yet.
Netflix has confirmed that Michael Fassbender will star in the series. The German-Irish Fassbender is known, for example, for his roles in films Dishonorable bastards, Prometheus and 12 Years a Slave.
Kennedy-series has been created by Sam Shawknown for example from television series Manhattan and Masters of Sex from behind.
The release date of the new series is not yet known.
Netflix has excelled in historical drama series before. Bitten by the British court The Crown -drama series has been awarded more than 70 awards and had more than 73 million viewers worldwide in 2020.
