Five games unbeaten

Dynamo Dresden also couldn’t stop 1. FC Nürnberg’s triumph in the 2nd Bundesliga. The Franconians won 2-1 (1-1) against the newcomers from Saxony and moved up to ninth place in the rankings for the time being. After just 14 seconds, Rafael Lubach put the guests in the front with the first attack of the game. It was the fastest goal so far this second division season.

Dominik Kother scored the surprising equalizer in front of 31,749 spectators (45th + 1). Tim Janisch (51st) managed to take the visitors’ lead again, which was enough to win. Dresden is still waiting for its first home win of the season and remains in a relegation zone. The quick lead – no Dresden player had touched the ball before – initially gave the club security. Dynamo tried to play along, but the guests set the tone. Dynamo goalkeeper Lennart Grill prevented the score from becoming 0-2 in the 31st minute when he spectacularly deflected a side kick from Mohamed Ali Zoma around the post.

The equalizer came as a surprise because the hosts had not been able to create a clear scoring opportunity up to that point. But Kother was only accompanied in the penalty area and was able to finish precisely. Even after the break, Nuremberg seemed more determined. Consequently, we took the lead again. Afterwards, the guests withdrew and waited for counterattacks, which increasingly occurred. Dynamo tried hard, but just wasn’t accurate in their passing game. There were still chances, but Nils Froling (71′) missed in a good position. The hosts couldn’t do much more against clever Nuremberg players.

SpVgg Fürth with a last-minute win

A dream goal from Joker Jannik Dehm gave coach Thomas Kleine and SpVgg Fürth the much-needed sense of achievement. After five league games without a win, the Franconians defeated Preußen Münster 1-0 (0-0) on Friday evening. After a throw-in, substitute Dehm scored with a brilliant long-range shot in the fifth minute of stoppage time. Before that, Kleine and Fürth were unlucky: two offside goals did not count after the video review in front of 10,175 spectators in the Ronhof sports park.

After the most beautiful attacking move of the first half by the offensive players Noel Futkeu, Branimir Hrgota and Felix Klaus, the ball ended up in the net. But when Klaus made a precise pass to Futkeu, the center forward was just offside when he successfully finished in the 28th minute, as the video review showed. In the 89th minute, the offside position was more obvious when substitute Aaron Keller scored.

The guests, who were badly shaken in terms of personnel, focused on good defensive organization. They only threatened the Fürth goal more after the break. Captain Jorrit Hendrix almost scored the winning goal in the 87th minute. But Fürth’s goalkeeper Silas Scheckrock directed his shot onto the post. Dehm had more luck with his shot in Fürth’s last attempt.
