The reopening of the stadium has already been postponed several times and although Barcelona had a training session there for 23,000 fans on Friday, the real return will have to wait a while. So the next home game – on November 22 against Athletic Bilbao – will normally be played in the Olympic Stadium on Montjuïc.

“It’s a great feeling, it’s wonderful to experience this with our fans. We can’t wait to return,” said captain (due to the absence of Marc-André ter Stegen) Ronald Araujo.

Newcomers

While the Uruguayan, Frenkie de Jong and many others already played at the old Camp Nou, this certainly does not apply to everyone within the selection. This also applies to Marc Casado, who broke through last season. “I have never played here, but it is still my dream since I played for Barcelona as a youth player. I hope that dream will come true soon.”

Marc Rashford has played at Camp Nou before, but as a player for Manchester United, the club from which he is currently rented. “Camp Nou is one of my favorite stadiums. I hope to play here in a Barcelona shirt soon.” The Englishman was impressed by the turnout. “It shows how much the supporters want to come back.
