KfW IPEX-Bank: Financing for the Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn

Frankfurt am Main (ots) – KfW IPEX-Bank is providing a bilateral

Almost EUR 300 million is available for the Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn under a loan agreement.

The borrower is the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Ruhr (VRR), the special purpose association

Client for the Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn (sub-network D) 36 modern, electric

operated S-Bahn multiple units (EMUs) of the FLIRT XL type from Stadler Germany

GmbH financed. VIAS Rail GmbH will operate the network from the end of 2029.
