Shortly before the final whistle of VfB Stuttgart’s Europa League game against Feyenoord Rotterdam, incidents occurred in the away area.
The Stuttgart police said the fence was broken through in several places. Police and security services were deployed to prevent the two fan camps from meeting. In addition, supporters of the Dutch league leaders burned down fan paraphernalia.
VfB won the important Europa League duel 2-0 (0-0) thanks to two late goals from Bilal El Khannouss and Deniz Undav. The police had previously classified the encounter with Feyenoord as a high-security game and increased police operations.
