Premiere against Luxembourg

It seems like a homage to the legendary World Cup jersey from 1990: On Wednesday afternoon, the DFB presented the national team’s new home jersey, in which national coach Julian Nagelsmann’s selection will appear at the 2026 World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the USA. It will be used for the first time in the upcoming World Cup qualifier against Luxembourg on November 14th.

Germany's World Cup jersey for 2026

“I’ve rarely found a jersey cooler than our new home jersey from adidas. I really like this look, it’s so beautifully retro. I think it’s world class and I’m looking forward to playing in it soon,” national striker Nick Woltemade was quoted as saying in the official association announcement about the jersey.

It continues: “The new home jersey comes in traditional white with a diamond pattern in black, red and gold, inspired by the iconic designs of the World Cup jerseys. The zigzag look is based on the model from 1994, when the USA hosted the tournament for the first time. Combined with black shorts and white socks that revisit the diamond pattern, the result is a contemporary look that reflects the roots and classic appearance of the German national team.”

Discuss the DFB now in the forum.

The new DFB home jersey will be available from Thursday, November 6th, from 10 a.m. via www.adidas.de, the adidas stores, the official DFB fan shop and at selected retailers, the association announced. The new models cost 100 euros each (children: 75 euros).
