The Spanish clothing group Grupo Victrix presented a new e-commerce concept for the Gerry Weber brand on Wednesday.

In the DACH region, which includes Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the new company Gerry W Online DACH GmbH will operate the label’s official online shop in the future. The group is relying on “strategic collaboration” with the Stuttgart agency Globalist, which specializes in digital marketing and the development of online business models.

The “reactivation” of the label’s online presence is a “significant milestone in ensuring that Gerry Weber’s new collections reach customers more directly and efficiently,” said Grupo Victrix. It will “help strengthen the brand’s accessibility, improve the shopping experience and reconnect with loyal customers.”

With the e-commerce project now announced, the Spanish group is underlining “its intention to strengthen Gerry Weber’s global presence” as well as “advancing digital transformation” and accelerating growth in the “most competitive clothing markets in Europe,” according to a statement.

Grupo Victrix, which also owns the Punt Roma label, secured the trademark rights of Gerry Weber after the German clothing retailer went bankrupt at the end of May. As a result of the insolvency proceedings, all of the label’s stationary stores as well as the company headquarters in Halle, Westphalia, were closed.
