Fenerbahçe football player Kerem Aktürkoğlu fulfilled the promise of primary school student Aras Şamlı in the school presidential election.
He told his friends, “If I become president, I will send a message to Kerem Aktürkoğlu and ask him to come to our school” for the primary school presidential election held at Yenidoğu Schools in Çekmeköy, Istanbul. 3-C student Aras Şamlı, who made the promise, sent a message to the national football player after winning the election.
Kerem Aktürkoğlu responded to Aras Şamlı’s message: “Congratulations Aras! I gladly accept your invitation. See you very soon.” He answered and visited the school.

During the visit, the national football player answered the questions of the students in the conference hall of the school.
Stating that he was visiting a school for the first time, the 27-year-old football player said, “My sister invited me to her school during the presidential election last year, but I could not go because I was very busy at that time. Now, I am making my first school visit, thanks to Aras. Thank you very much for inviting me.” he said.
Kerem Aktürkoğlu, who also gave advice to his young fans during the visit, said:
“I have been myself all my life, I have strived to be myself, I have never let anyone direct me. My advice to Aras and my brothers here is that they should live the way they feel good and happy. They should not allow anyone to put them under certain covers. I believe they can be successful in this way. Success comes because I can be myself.”
Stating that he fulfilled his biggest promise when Kerem Aktürkoğlu came to visit, school president Aras Şamlı said, “Among my promises were organizing a dodgeball tournament twice a month, giving awards to those who read the most books in a month, making a wish box and inviting you to school. I fulfilled the biggest of these promises. Thank you very much for coming.” made the statement.
Aras Şamlı’s father, Semih Şanlı, also thanked the national football player and said:
“We are Fenerbahce fans from the family. When Kerem Aktürkoğlu contacted us, I couldn’t believe my eyes. We were very happy as a family. I know what Kerem Aktürkoğlu struggled to come to Fenerbahçe, we also struggled to bring him to school. A similar process went through. Thank you very much.”
During the visit, Aras Şamlı’s classmates sang the special song they wrote for Kerem Aktürkoğlu on stage, accompanied by cheers.
After the visit, Kerem Aktürkoğlu presented a Fenerbahçe jersey to Aras Şamlı, and Aras Şamlı signed the Yenidoğu Schools jersey and gifted it to the national football player.
