Jeroen van Inkel, the morning DJ of NPO Radio 2 during the weekend, has little confidence in the future of the radio duo Gordon and Froukje de Both. “It’s not a good sign if there’s any tinkering going on.”

Radio 10’s listening figures have been under pressure since Gordon and Froukje de Both were launched as the radio station’s morning duo. It has now been decided to add a central presenter to their program: Jan-Paul Grootentraast. “Talpa gives us all the time and space to make something beautiful out of it,” says Goor.

Radio knowledge

It is a good decision, says NPO Radio 2 DJ Jeroen van Inkel. He listened to Goor regularly. “I also laughed several times, but you notice that radio knowledge is missing. That makes it messy,” he says A.D.

The central presenter needs to provide more structure. “I think it is a good thing that Jan-Paul Grootentraast is now wrong, because he is happy to ignore himself.”

Dedication

The question, however, is how much Gordon lives for his current morning show, according to Jeroen. “Dedication is important. Mattie and Wietze always stayed in the editorial office until well after their morning show to think of things. I think that’s where Gordon goes wrong and that he goes home after his show with screeching tires.”

That’s why you get a lot of money for a morning program, he explains. “It won’t be ready after the broadcast.”

Not a good sign

Does Jeroen think that Gordon and Froukje will recover? “It is not a good sign if a lot of tinkering is required. You can also wonder: is the program a good idea?”

Wow, those are painful words that Goor in particular will undoubtedly not be happy with…
