Belgium passes Burkina Faso without much effort

The Belgian football team has won the exhibition game with Burkina Faso without much effort. After the somewhat disappointing 2-2 in Ireland, despite the several absentees, it became 3-0 on Tuesday evening in Brussels. National coach Roberto Martinez had made six substitutions compared to Saturday and once again gave lesser-known players a chance to prove themselves. Wing defender Siebe Van Der Heyden made his debut in the starting line-up.

Halfway through, the Red Devils led 2-0 through hits from Hans Vanaken and Leandro Trossard. Substitute Christian Benteke determined the final score at 3-0. Belgians with more than 50 international experience, including Kevin De Bruyne and goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, were again not among them, as Martinez said last week.

England did not have too much to do with Ivory Coast at Wembley, which lost Serge Aurier in the 40th minute due to a second yellow card. It was then 1-0 at the hands of Ollie Watkins, before halftime Raheem Sterling doubled the lead. Deep into stoppage time, Tyrone Mings made it 3-0. Ajax player Sébastien Haller was in the striker for the Africans, the entire match.

Italy

Italy, which is not in the World Cup due to the defeat against North Macedonia, took revenge somewhat, in and against Turkey: 2-3. The beginning was not very promising. Cengiz Ünder left goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma without a chance after four minutes. Bryan Cristante and Giacomo Raspadori turned the game around before half time. Halfway through the second half, the latter was again successful. The final chord was by Serdar Dursun. Feyenoord player Orkun Kökçu remained on the bench.

Spain practiced well against Iceland: 5-0. Halfway through it was 2-0 thanks to goals from Álvaro Morata, the second made from the penalty spot. After Yeremi Pino’s 3-0, substitute Pablo Sarabia also scored twice.

Norway crushed Armenia 9-0. Joshua King scored three times, Erling Haaland, who had a starting spot, and his replacement in the second half Alexander Sørloth each twice.
