Around 8 a.m. this morning, the police received a report that a body had been found on the beach of Julianadorp. Research shows that it concerns the missing woman (52) from Den Helder.
The police rule out that this is a crime. The investigation into the cause of death is still ongoing.
Major search
The woman has been missing since last Saturday, after she went out for a walk with the dog in the afternoon. The police started a major search in the area of Soembastraat in Den Helder on Saturday evening, but it turned up nothing.
Later the search went even further, with help from volunteers from the Veterans Search Team, the Rescue Brigade and the Coast Guard.
The police thanks everyone who helped and wishes the relatives strength.
