Renate den Hollander from Ansen, councilor in the municipality of Westerveld, is switching to the House of Representatives. In the elections, her party, the VVD, won 22 seats, giving her a place in The Hague as number 18 on the list.
Her intended successor is fellow party member Frank Foreman, who has been active in local politics for years as a councilor and party leader. Den Hollander will be working on him in the near future, so that her current projects and tasks, including housing construction, spatial development and the economy, are transferred properly.
The swearing-in ceremony in the House of Representatives will take place on November 12. Den Hollander looks back with pride on her period as alderman: “How incredibly cool that I can represent Drenthe in the House of Representatives for the VVD. It is with pain in my heart that I say goodbye to Westerveld, but I will remain involved in the region as a resident.”
