Munich leads after the first quarter with 15:19 against Milan. Right from the start, Bayern put in a concentrated performance in defense and posed problems for Milan’s attack. In the last few minutes, the Italians got into the game a little better, but so far the Munich side have been on an equal footing.

The Bayern head coach and Trinchieri, who was born in Milan, expects his team to perform well despite the difficult phase of the season: “We’re not complaining and will put up a great fight again, as always, I’m convinced of that”.

With Olimpia Milano, Bayern not only meet last year’s playoff opponents, but also, according to Munich coach Andrea Trinchieri, “the best team in Europe with Barcelona”. Most recently, the Milanese defended their lead in the Italian Serie A with a 95:77 win against Varese on Saturday. They are also qualified for the playoffs in the EuroLeague and are fourth in the table with 18 wins and nine losses. Last week, the Milanese showed with an 83:77 victory against the defending champion from Istanbul that they also have Final Four ambitions in the EuroLeague this year.
