40-year-old Altay, who lived in Kempten, Germany, for many years and won 17 of the 21 matches he played in his professional career by knockout, settled in Fethiye district of Muğla with his wife and 3 children.

Altay, who continues his work here, will compete for the Turkish championship, gold belt and WBC Middle East title in Fethiye on December 20.

Altay said that he aims to bring new talents to the sport of boxing.

Stating that he wanted to save young people from the streets and introduce them to boxing, Altay stated that he started boxing at the age of 16 and became a professional in 2016, after 80 amateur competitions, and that he won 17 of the 21 competitions he participated in by knockout, and therefore he was given the nickname “Iron Fist”.

Stating that he wants to transfer his experience and knowledge he has gained over many years to young people in Türkiye and Fethiye and that is why he settled in Muğla, Altay said, “I want to attract children from the streets. For this reason, I want to open a sports school in Fethiye and give free courses to children, especially those who are not financially well-off, and teach them boxing. This is my biggest goal right now.” he said.

Stating that his biggest goal is to teach boxing to young people, Altay called on young people to achieve their goals and noted that he will support them in the sports club he opened.

Stating that there will be a big boxing festival in Fethiye on December 20, Altay said, “I invite everyone to this big night. Here I will enter the ring for both the Turkish championship golden belt title and the WBC Middle East title. 5 boxers who are famous abroad as well as in Türkiye will participate in the competitions.” he said.
