As reported by Il Resto del Carlino, Ettore Pausini was returning to the city after one of his usual bike rides of the weekend. The car, which was proceeding in the opposite direction, would have hit him and then moved away, leaving the destroyed mountain bike on the ground. Originally from Solarolo, Pausini was very well known in Bolognawhere for years he had managed a barbershop in Piazza Azzarita. Having become a widower, he had chosen a profession that allowed him to live with freedom and coherence, values which – those who knew him remember – accompanied him until the end.
