The City of Brussels is stopping the Brussels Marathon after twenty years. “The City of Brussels announces with regret that from 2026 the Brussels Marathon will no longer run through its territory,” said a joint statement from Mayor Philippe Close (PS) and Alderman of Sport Florence Frelinx (MR). This is surprising news for organizer Golazo. Spokesman Gert Van Goolen states that another marathon will be organized in the capital in 2026.
