He is probably the literary character who has seen the greatest number of television adaptations and derivations; Now the myth of Sherlock Holmesthe most famous British detective, written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, comes back to life in a new guise which sees him collaborate with his daughter.
They are the traits of Sherlock & DaughterAnglo-American co-production. The detective played by David Thewlis is depicted here as a retired detective who lives in the famous house on Baker Street and who privately investigates a criminal organization called “Red Thread” which has just kidnapped some of Sherlock’s friends.

At the same time, on the other side of the ocean, in California, a young woman arrives in London with the specific aim of meeting the detectivebecoming first his maid and then his assistant called to investigate the mysteries of the British capital together.
The story of Sherlock & Daughter is set at the end of the nineteenth century, in Victorian London which curiously is the same as Conan Doyle’s original work (after several examples of contemporary characterizations); the narrative is not always fluid, but capable of mixing investigations and irony in the highest tradition of Anglo-Saxon detective stories.
