The new support boat from Gruppo Med combines remarkable performance, cutting-edge technology and an almost military design. An eleven metre, made of aluminium, also available with hydrogen propulsion. It exceeds 52 knots, equal to 96 km/h
It is increasingly time for chase boats: technically they are the fast and agile boats that accompany a larger boat, such as a superyacht, or a sailing racer, to provide support and/or transport personnel. One of the most recent, which impressed critics and the public at the last Monaco Yacht Show, is entirely Made in Italy: the Tykun X11.20 meters long, which combines extreme performance, easy handling and on-board comfort. It is designed by the Med Group of Cervia and was born from the collaboration between Med, the famous architect Tommaso Spadolini and the strategic consultant Benedetta Iovane. It should be remembered that Gruppo Med has been manufacturing boats for defense and public administration for over ten years. The shipyard’s range was born precisely from this experience: hulls tested in real operating conditions, redesigned for a private public that does not want to give up either safety or design and loves to customize the vehicle both externally and internally.
A GROWING RANGE

Made entirely of aluminum, with the only exception of the carbon fiber hardtop, Tykun redan (the step on the hull), signed by the engineer Carlo Bertorello. This configuration allows for rapid planing, stable buoyancy and total control, even at high speeds or in rough seas. In tests, with four people on board and a half load of fuel (400 litres), the boat reached over 52 knots (equal to 96 km/h) powered by two Mercury Verado 400 engines, with a further margin of speed for more powerful configurations. With waves 2.5 meters high and frequent, at 17 knots it glides smoothly, at 27 knots it sails dry with seas sideways and reaches 42 knots between the crests, always remaining predictable and safe. From an automotive point of view, the success of Tykun Furthermore, in collaboration with Tesya Group, the Romagna shipyard has developed Tykun H1, the first variant powered by hydrogen fuel cells, inspired by the chase boats created for the latest America’s Cup. The boat, already approved, can be ordered and delivered in eight months.
a terrace overlooking the water

Beyond being designed to accompany superyachts, Tykun X allows you to experience the sea independently. The collapsible walls expand the cockpit in the harbor, creating a real terrace over the water. The modular layout allows for a tailor-made configuration: basically there are two C-shaped sofas with folding dinette tables, which can be transformed into sun loungers; a large sundeck at the bow integrated into the line of the hull; a central area with wet bar, sink, refrigerator and grill. Below deck, there is a cabin with a V-berth and separate head, which lends itself to short or weekend cruises. The storage compartments are numerous and well distributed: a hydraulic locker under the stern sofa, spaces under the bow sundeck and a dedicated niche for Seabob or water toys. Gruppo Med offers two solutions for the entire range: Tykun Boutique, with already configured boats and Tykun Atelier, which offers maximum freedom of customisation, from layout to internal fittings up to painting and materials. Curiosity: each unit can be aesthetically combined with the mother yacht, integrating style, materials and color palettes. The ultimate in owner pleasure.
