Finland’s number one skier Iivo Niskanen opens its season on Sunday in the Finnish Cup competition in Vuokatti.
The 33-year-old from Kuopio participates in the 3 x 9 kilometer relay, where he skis the second leg of his team in freestyle skiing.
In addition to the Olympic champion, the Puijo Ski Club’s team includes a national team colleague Perttu Hyvärinen and 15 years old Kusti-Emil Juntunen.
The young promise will ski the anchor section after the climbs.
Niskanen and Hyvärinen are by no means the only high-level skiers in the competition.
Among other things, the first team of Pohti SkiTeam cools down Juuso Harala, Joni Mäki and Niilo Moilanen.
Jämin Jänte’s team is skiing again Cross mat Hakola, Markus Vuorela and Lauri Lepistö.
The message may become very flat.
On Saturday, free sprints were skied for both men and women.
In the men’s category, he took the highest podium Ike Melnitz. Second, sivakoi Olli Ahonenand ascended to the lowest podium Valtteri Pennanen.
